Mumbai: The Election Commission has allotted ‘two swords, shield’ to the Shinde faction on Tuesday. The commission already gave the name ‘Balasaheb Shiv Sena’ to the Shinde faction.
The sword and shield symbol was earlier used by the ‘Peoples Democratic Movement’ that lost its affiliation in 2004. Now the election commission has given this to the Shinde Faction.
The election commission had given the name ‘Shiv Sena Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray’ and the ‘torch’ symbol, last day. The commission has frozen the symbol of ‘bow and arrow’ for the time being over a conflict between the two parties. It is informed that the symbol will be allotted after determining who the real Shiv Sena is.
