New Delhi: Supreme Court will again consider the petition that filed on the restrictions of stray dogs. It will also consider Kerala’s demand to kill stray dogs. The court may also issue an interim order on the petition.
According to the rules of the centre, killing of dogs is illegal. Now the violent dogs have to be kept in isolation till their death. The demand of the state government is to get concessions on such rules due to the limitations of the state. The state seeks permission to kill dogs that are spreading diseases to humans just like in the case of other animals.
The state government has also asked for permission to implement the ABC project. The Kudumbasree units were omitted from the ABC project due to the interim order of the High Court.
Kozhikode municipality and Kannur District Panchayat had given special application to the Supreme court due to the rise of stray dog attacks in the state.
