New Delhi: Karnataka hijab ban case has been referred to the larger bench today. Justice Hemant Gupta and Justice Sudhanshu Dhulia delivered split verdict and hence, the case has been referred to a larger bench.
Justice Dhulia, while considering the case, said that wearing hijab depends on choice. At the same time, Justice Gupta dismissed the petitions and upheld the hijab ban in the educational institutions.
The bench of Justices Hemant Gupta and Sudhanshu Dhulia considered a batch of petitions challenging the Karnataka HC judgement refusing to lift the ban on wearing hijab in educational institutions of Karnataka.
