Kannur: In Kannur Central jail, mobile phones were seized from the blocks where the PFI terrorists stayed. The phones were seized after capturing drugs from a person who reached the jail to visit the terrorists.
Police started investigation on the incident.
The terrorists who took part in the attack, which was held on the strike day, were imprisoned inside the 6th block in Kannur Central Jail. The mobile phones were found from the top of a coconut tree, near this block.
Last day, Abdul Azeez, a native of Valapattanam had reached the jail to visit the PFI terrorists. Police found intoxicants from him. After questioning, it became clear that the terrorists were using mobile phones inside the jail premises.
The phone was kept after the battery was removed from it. The initial conclusion is that the phones were delivered by the people who came to visit the terrorists.
