Thiruvananthapuram: Widespread rain is likely in the state today. Yellow alert has been issued in Pathanamthitta and Idukki districts. Warning for a chance of more rain in the hilly areas this afternoon. The Meteorological Department has informed that there will be heavy rain in the coming days.
The rains are due to a cyclonic circulation over the Comorin coast and over the central Bay of Bengal. According to the Met Office, there is a possibility of isolated rain in Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod districts in the next three hour.
