Pathanamthitta: A complaint has been filed against Sandeepananda Giri over his attempt to insult the Malayalapuzha Devi Temple. He insulted the temple while taking part in a discussion on the human sacrifice held at Elanthoor. Police accepted the complaint given by the temple committee.
Earlier, Sandeepananda Giri had made several statements against the Hindu customs and traditions. He had made a controversial statement in which he compared the right to visit a temple and the right to stay in the queue for a beverage.
He also made several insulting comments when the Sabarimala issue was going on its peak in the state. An Ernakulam native had filed a complaint against him that Sandeepananda Giri cheated him on the name of a trip to Kailas. Also In 2018, a young woman filed ‘me too’ allegations against him.
