Thiruvananthapuram: There is a high chance for heavy isolated rain in the state today. In that background Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Idukki, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad and Kasaragod districts received yellow alerts.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced a chance for heavy rain in isolated regions in the next three hours. It has also warned the fishermen to stop venturing. The cyclonic circulation that was formed in the Andaman Ocean, Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea has led to the heavy rain in Kerala.
The intensity of the rain will be raised in the upcoming days. Twelve districts have yellow alert On Monday and Tuesday. There is also a chance for lightning from 14 October to 18 October.
