Thiruvananthapuram: Verdict on bail plea of Perumbavoor MLA Eldhose Kunnappilly accused in rape case is on 20th. The police took evidence with the school teacher who was the complainant at the institution in Kovalam, where the molestation took place and at the beach where he tried to harm her. Additional District Sessions Judge Prasoon Mohan considered the anticipatory bail application.

The government informed the court that apart from the MLA, there are other accused in the case and if bail is granted, the case will be overturned. Eldhose’s lawyer argued that the complainant was a honey trapper and many had complained about her to the police, but district government pleader Vembayam A A Hakeem said that these matters should be decided in the trial.

The prosecutor informed that after the crime branch took over the case, the complainant raised the complaint of harassment. The prosecutor informed that the complainant has also stated these matters in the secret statement. A team led by Assistant Commissioner B. Anil Kumar gathered the evidence.
