Lucknow: Two Chinese citizens arrested in Noida for online fraud. The Chinese citizens were arrested during a joint investigation by the Special Task Force and the police.
The investigation revealed that the arrested persons committed fraud by depositing money in the bank. 70 active SIMs, 96 activated SIMs, pamphlets of Gauro Media app and passports were recovered from their possession. The investigation into the incident is in progress.
The online scam also comes after Chinese citizens were arrested for illegal stay in India. 15 people, including a woman, stayed in the country despite the expiry of their visas. Earlier, five Chinese citizens working in a private company were detained by the police.
