Sulthan Bathery: High Court with crucial verdict over beef stalls that are running without license. The court ordered the closure of all unlicensed beef stalls in Pulpally. The order was issued in a complaint filed by Sachu, a native of Marakkadavu.
The panchayat officials had destroyed the beef put for sale in Karimam market. But no action was taken against three other beef stalls operating near the panchayat office at Thazhe Angadi and this led to a huge protest.
This occasion made Sachu Thomas to file a complaint and the Pulpally Panchayath informed that no beef stalls have license to sell beef in Pulpally village panchayat and also issued a stop memo. But the Karumam panchayath has a license to sell fish and chicken.
