Washington: In the 1971 Bangladesh liberation war, the action of the Pakistani army against the Bangladeshis and Hindus was extremely brutal. A resolution declaring it a genocide and a crime, against humanity was first introduced in the US House of Representatives. This resolution was introduced after long efforts.
The resolution was introduced by Ro Khanna and Steve Chabot. The assessment is that the atrocities committed against Bangladeshis and Hindus are inhumane and genocidal crimes. A massacre of Hindus and Bangladeshis took place that day.
Millions of people fell victim to the weapons of the Pakistan Army on 1971 Bangladesh Genocide. He also demanded that such crimes should be brought before the society and informed that it will never be tolerated. Khanna said that he was honored to get the opportunity to present this resolution.
