Kochi: High Court intensified strict actions against Popular Front of India (PFI), the banned organisation. SC instructed the Government to submit details regarding the confiscation of the leader’s property. It is instructed to submit the affidavit on 7 November.
The court issued an order to give details about the confiscation of land under the ownership of Abdul Sathar, the leader of PFI. The details regarding the total loss occurred during the strike also need to be informed. The Government also instructed to inform about the bail application pending in the lower courts.
The NIA conducted a nationwide raid in the offices of PFI after getting evidence on their anti-national activities and recruitment of youths for terrorist organisations. The centre decided to ban the organization after knowing their agenda to transform India to a Muslim nation.
The raids took place in the background of this and the PFI called a strike as a protest against the raid. Their intention was to create violence .
