Bengaluru: With a demand of Halal ban, many organisations intensified its protests in Karnataka. In Shivamogga and Udupi, many people protested in front of the stalls that sell Halal products. Posters have all come up demanding the same. Many organisations including Shriram Sena and Hindu Jana Jaagrathi have come up with the same demand.
The organisations also sent letters to the Government on this matter. Sri Ram Sena president Pramod Muthalik has announced that he will enter into a legal battle demanding a halal ban. He said he will file a petition in the Karnataka High Court too.
The certification on Halal started in 1974. But after 1993, it has extended to Halal meat, halal beauty products, halal hotels etc.
Meanwhile, the government has not yet responded to the issue.
