Kochi: Kerala Blasters is against the demand of the Kochi Corporation to pay entertainment tax for ISL matches. Blasters said that the court ordered a stay order on this and the demand of the corporation can be considered as contempt of court and not legally existing.
Blasters said that the State Government had cancelled the entertainment tax for football tournaments in Kerala when the nation implemented GST. So the demand of entertainment tax is illegal and it should be withdrawn.
In this season, the Blasters played two matches in the home ground of Kochi. They won the first match and were defeated in the second.
