Lucknow: The UP Government is all set to close the unauthorised Madrassas functioning in the state. The crucial decision has been taken while the survey to find the unauthorized madrassas entered to its final level.
The survey that lasted for weeks had found that around 7500 madrassas are working in the state illegally. Currently, the survey is in progress and the final report will be handed over to the district Magistrate on 15th next month.
The UP Madrassa Education Board chairman Ifthikar Ahammad Javed said that the final report is essential to find the proper number of unauthorised madrassas.
The Madrassas that are functioning without the basic facilities are considered to be illegal. Recently, in Assam, several madrassas were found in connection with various anti national activities.
