Badrinath: PM Narendra Modi said that the Uttarakhand ropeway project will be equally beneficial to the state’s pilgrimage sites and other areas. He said that the ropeways that will be implemented in more than 18 tourist-pilgrimage regions will fasten the developmental initiatives. The first stage of the ropeway will extend from Gaurikund to Kedarnath and Govindghat to Homkund Sahib. The PM talked while laying the foundation stone to the ropeway.
The PM said that Uttarakhand is a place where we can see the blend of culture and legacy. The ropeway will be helpful to both the locals and the tourists who visit the region. He also said that special facilities will be implemented to make the ropeway facilities to be enjoyed by the people who are physically challenged.
The foundation stone for the ropeway was laid at Chamoli district in Mana village. Mana is known as the last village in the boundary of the nation.
