New Delhi: Army says no fault on pilot’s part in helicopter crash in Arunachal Pradesh. The accident was found to be due to a technical fault. Military sources also said that the pilot had sent a danger alert message just before the crash.
These things became clear during the army’s inspection. An army helicopter crashed in Arunachal Pradesh’s Siang district around 10:30 am yesterday. Among the five martyrs there was a Malayali soldier too. Both pilots lost their lives in the crash. Four bodies have been found so far. A search is on for the fifth army personnel.
K V Ashwin, a native of Cheruvathur, is the Malayali soldier who died in the accident. He was 24. Ashwin has been serving in the electronics and mechanical wing of the army for the past four years.
