Mumbai: 1.9 kg of drugs worth Rs 15 crore trying to be smuggled to India in a courier parcel were seized in Mumbai. It was seized during a tip-off by DRI officials. Two days ago, the parcel was seized at the air cargo complex in Mumbai.
The parcel was sent from Paris. The drugs arrived at an address in Nalasopara, Mumbai. 1.9 kg of amphetamine in the form of pills was seized. Customs officials have stated that it will be worth more than 15 crore rupees in the international market. The drugs were hidden inside polythene covers.
Three people, including a Nigerian national, have been arrested in connection with the incident. Customs officials also stated that the investigation in the case is in progress.
