Chandigarh: Anti-terrorist squad thwarted an attempt to kill a Hindu leader in Punjab. Four members of the criminal gang were arrested. Four guns have also been seized from them.
The incident happened last night. The group came to kill Sudhir Suri, a Hindu leader in Amritsar. The anti-terrorist squad had received information that some groups had come to the state to kill Hindu leaders. Based on this investigation, the accused were arrested.
After being arrested, they told the police that the Khalistan terrorist leader in Canada had ordered the killing. Later, it was found that Khalistan terrorist Lakhbir Singh Landa was behind the project. Akash, Gurkeerat, Harmagnith and Ajmeet Singh were arrested and further investigation into the incident is underway, said the investigation team.
