Thiruvananthapuram: Governor has sent a letter to Chief Minister demanding to remove Finance Minister K N Balagopal from his post. The letter says that the speech of the Minister was insulting and so the Governor has lost interest in him. Meanwhile, the CM replied that the Minister does not intend to insult the Governor.
The Governor informed the CM about this last night. Though the ministers are appointed based on the Article 164 of Indian constitution, it also mentions that the appointment of ministers can be decided on the interest of the Governor too and hence the letter.
