Thiruvananthapuram: The Minister responded to the letter sent by Governor Arif Muhammad Khan to the Chief Minister demanding the removal of Finance Minister K N Balagopal. He said that the letter was given to the Chief Minister by the Governor and the CM should reply in this matter. The minister said that there is no other response on the matter and that everyone knows the matter.
He added that no such action has been taken by the Governor in the country. The Governor and the Chief Minister hold important positions. The Finance Minister said that he cannot comment on the letter between the CM and the Governor for the time being.
He made an open response. No further explanation or response is needed in this regard. He has not seen the letter sent by the Governor to the C M and the letter sent back, the Minister added. Things will be done constitutionally. Ministers are appointed by the Chief Minister. The minister said that a big discussion is continuing on the issue.
The Governor sent a letter to the Chief Minister saying that he had lost interest in the Finance Minister and demanded to remove the Minister. But the Chief Minister replied that this speech was not an insult to the Governor.
