Alappuzha: The officials in the Animal Husbandry Department has informed that birds and ducks will be culled around one kilometre where the bird flu outbreak is reported. Steps will be taken as per the direction given by the Government. It is reported that a total of 20,471 birds will be have to be culled.
Meanwhile, an order has been issued banning movement of birds from and to the outbreak reporting area. Police and Revenue authorities will conduct thorough inspection. The District Collector has ordered to speed up the preventive measures.
