Vadodara: Gujarat became the first state to provide clean water to every household. The state government has officially announced that the Har Ghar Jal project has been successfully implemented across the state. The BJP state leadership claimed that the completion of pipe drinking water scheme in more than 90 lakh households during Diwali is a gift to the people.
According to government figures, there are 91,73,378 houses in Gujarat. Based on the report, drinking water pipes of the water authority were delivered to all the houses directly and clean water was ensured for every family.
Clean water was ensured inside the family through special taps. Gujarat Home Minister Harsh Sanghavi informed the information through Twitter. He also said Gujarat has made a great step in the development of basic infrastructure for the people during Diwali.
Before the central government Jal Jeevan Mission project was announced by the Prime Minister at Delhi’s Red Fort on August 15, 2019, Gujarat had made a lot of progress in that area. With the help from Centre, the completion of the project could be speeded up, said Sanghavi.
