New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency will enquire the Coimbatore explosion case. Central Government has ordered for the NIA probe after Tamil Nadu Government’s recommendation on the issue.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin submitted the recommendation to the Central Government last day. This move was after getting the confirmation as Jamesha Mubeen, who was dead in the explosion was a suicide bomber.
Several evidences were recovered by the police while conducting a search at the area where explosion took place as well as at the house of Mubeen. The team had seized a lap top from the house and crucial documents were collected. Following this, Central Governments’ Terrorism And Counter Radicalisation ( CTCR) issued NIA probe.
On 23 October, a car was exploded near Kottamedu Sangameswara temple. Six accused have been arrested so far.
