Thiruvananthapuram: Monsoon will reach the Kerala coast today. The Meteorological Department has said that there is a possibility of widespread rain from today.
Yellow alert was announced in Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Idukki, Palakkad and Alappuzha districts today and on Monday in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Ernakulam and Idukki districts. Yellow alert has also been declared in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam and Idukki districts on Tuesday.
A cyclonic circulation is present in the Bay of Bengal. It is located near Sri Lanka. There is no restriction on fishing in Kerala, Karnataka and Lakshadweep coasts.
