Thiruvananthapuram: SP took action against two police officials in the incident of the suicide attempt of Greeshma, accused in Sharon murder case. Women police officials of Nedumangad Station, Gayathri and Suma were suspended.
Greeshma attempted for suicide this morning. Police said that they took precaution by considering the possibility for the attempt to suicide. A washroom was made ready for the accused earlier. But instead of this another washroom was used in the morning and the accused drank a disinfectant from there. Later it is proved in the report that this happened due to police negligence and action has been taken against the police officers who were there for the security of Greeshma.
Thiruvananthapuram Rural SP Shilpa had earlier stated that there has been a major fault from the side of police officers. Four women police officers were assigned for Greeshma’s security. The SP informed that two women police who took charge for Greeshma’s security this morning were suspended.
