Kozhikode: The Human Rights Commission initiated a case that stopped a youth on the way to his PSC exam. Renjith Prasad, the senior CPO of Farooq police, blocked Arun, a native of Ramanattukara. The incident occurred on 22nd last month. Arun had been blocked by the police and took off the keys of his bike after telling that he had broken the traffic rules.

The exam had already started even though he had reached the venue with the help of the SI . He lost his chance just because of the police blockade. The Human Rights Commission took Suo moto when the issue got widespread over the media. It is instructed that the police officer should present in person to give explanation on the incident.

It is instructed that Ranjith Prasad should attend the sitting in person that has been arranged in the Kozhikode Collectorate. The Judicial member, K Baijunath has given notice to the Farooq Assistant Police Commissioner. The notice also says that the investigation must be conducted in a proper way. Ranjith Prasad got suspended after a complaint filed by Arun to Farooq SP.
