Kozhikkode: Police have captured Mohammed Riyas, the accused who escaped from the custody on the way for having food. Riyas absconded from the police custody last day while on their way to jail from the court. Riyas is an accused in vehicle theft case. Police caught him from a saloon in Marad.
The incident took place while the accused was taken to hotel. Mohammed Riyas ran away soon after his hand cuffs was removed for taking food.
Riyas was earlier trapped by the police on last Sunday with a stolen bike near Mangavu petrol pump.
