Srinagar: An encounter broke out between the security forces and the terrorists at Ananthnag in Jammu and Kashmir. Police have informed that the encounter is underway and more details will be released soon.
Last day, the army had neutralised a terrorist at Kupwara region. Earlier, four terrorists were killed in two different encounters in Shopian too. And in last October, Jammu Kashmir police and the security forces jointly held an operation in which a Lashkar terrorist Naseer Ahammed Bhatt was killed.
The forces, upon secret inputs, conducted a search in the area and the encounter broke out while the terrorist started attacking the force. Arms and ammunition were also recovered in the search.
