New Delhi: Customs officers have seized smuggled gold worth rupees 2.95 crore. The culprits tried hiding the gold inside the body shapers. Customs said that three were arrested in relation to the incident.
The gold was seized from three passengers who came from Sharjah to Delhi last day. The gold found in the passenger’s bag was hidden inside the body shaper belts. 7.76 kg gold was kept inside seven square pouches.
The authority said that the seized gold was worth Rs 2.95 crore. Meanwhile, more information about the culprits are yet to be released. The officials also said that more investigation is being held about the culprits.
