The last total lunar eclipse of the year is on November 8. A lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth’s shadow from the Sun falls on the Moon. That means the sun, earth and moon will come in the same straight line. Earth’s position is between the Moon and the Sun. At this time, the moon can be seen in red color. The next lunar eclipse after November 8, is in 2025.
The total lunar eclipse will be visible in the eastern states of India. All other parts will be visible as a partial eclipse. The total lunar eclipse will be visible from Kolkata, Siliguri, Patna, Ranchi and Guwahati. The eclipse will be visible from 2.39 p.m. onwards. The eclipse will be complete in Latin American countries by 3:46 p.m. The eclipse ends at 6.19 p.m.
The eclipse starts at Delhi-5.32, Kolkata-4.56, Mumbai-6.05, Bengaluru-5.53, Chennai-5.42 and Guwahati-4.37. The eclipse will also be best visible in places like Pakistan, Afghanistan, North-Eastern Europe, Russia, Australia, North America and South America.
