Adelaide: India entered into the semi-finals by defeating Bangladesh in a match full of excitement till the end. India defeated their opponents by five runs in a match. Bangladesh got off to a good start with a target of 185 runs to win. It was the performance of opener Liton Das that made India in trouble. Litton Das, who attacked from one end, took 60 runs in 27 balls.

Due to rain the overs were reduced by four. Bangladesh’s target was set at 151 in 16 overs. Arshdeep Singh and Hardik Pandya both took a wicket and Mohammed Shami took one wicket. Bangladesh’s innings ended at 145 for the loss of six wickets in the 16th over.
India lost the wicket of captain Rohit Sharma right from the start. Kohli scored 64 runs from 44 balls.

K L Rahul scored 50 runs off 32 balls with the help of four sixes and three fours. Suryakumar Yadav, who came next, also moved the scoreboard quickly. Yadav’s contribution is 30 runs from 16 balls. Hardik Pandya(5), Akshar Patel(7), Dinesh Karthik(7) and Ravichandra Ashwin(13) were the other performers.

With the win, India topped Group 2 with 6 points. India’s opponent in the next match is Zimbabwe. Even if they defeat Pakistan in the last match, Bangladesh, who are behind in run rate, have a rare chance of entering the semi-finals.
