Thiruvananthapuram: The letter sent by Mayor Arya Rajendran to District Secretary Anavoor Nagappan to appoint CPM workers to temporary posts in Thiruvananthapuram Corporation is in controversy. The opposition accused the mayor for violating the oath. The opposition is intensifying the protest demanding the mayor’s resignation.
But the mayor claims that the letter was not sent. Arya Rajendran clarified that she was not in Thiruvananthapuram on the date of the letter and the party is investigating the letter controversy. She said that she will give an official response after consulting the party leadership.
At the same time, the response of CPM District Secretary Anavoor Nagappan did not completely reject the letter. He clarified that he has not called any other leaders related to this and sought an explanation.
