New Delhi: Counting of votes is progressing in the by-election to seven assembly constituencies of six states. Voting was conducted in Mokama and Gopalganj constituencies of Bihar, Andheri East of Maharashtra, Adampur of Haryana, Munugode of Telangana, Gola Gokarannath of U P and Dhamnagar of Odisha on 3 November.
BJP has won Gopalganj by around 1800 votes. The counting began at 8 am today and BJP has made a distinct lead in several seats from the very beginning of the counting. Some of the BJP candidates have more than 2000-7000 votes lead.
In Bihar’s Mokana constituency, BJP candidate Kusum Devi is leading by over 2300 votes. Bhavya Bishnoy in Aampur, Haryana, Suryabhashini Suraj in Dham Nagar, Odisha, and Aman Giri in Uttar Pradesh are near to victory.
