Kochi: Today, the High Court will consider the complaints filed by the Vice Chancellors on giving reply to the governor. The court will also consider the petition filed questioning the removal of Senate members of Kerala University.
The Governor said to inform whether there is any reason for not removing from the position of the Vice Chancellor. But the VCs claim that the Governor has no right to remove them. Five of the VCs demanded a direct hearing on the reply given to the Governor. Some of them demanded to allow their lawyer to appear.
The Governor’s counsel will inform the High Court that the time allowed for giving the reply has expired. The circumstances under which the notice issued against the VCs will also be explained.
Meanwhile, the decision of the Raj Bhavan is becoming crucial now. The Governor’s decision will be a great challenge for both the Government and the VCs, If the reply is not satisfactory.
