Thiruvananthapuram: CPM published a pamphlet against the Governor Arif Muhammad Khan. The pamphlet was in the name of the department of higher education. In the pamphlet it is alleged that the governor does not even have a minimum knowledge about the Indian constitution. The pamphlet says that the instruction to remove the finance minister was also part of this. It is also written that the chancellors actions are part of the Sangh Parivar agenda and his actions should be defended.
CPIM State Secretary MV Govindan had said that the left front is ready to go to any extent in order to remove the governor from the position of the chancellor. He said that distribution of the pamphlet is a part of gathering people for protest.
The position and authority of the chancellor is based on the laws made by the State Government. He said that the State Government will now take the stand on whether to provide it or not. He also said that the Governor should understand that the State Government will never surrender to any threat and the CPM has no fear to submit a report to the centre.
