More than thousand appointments in two years; plea in HC amid letter row

Thiruvananthapuram: Corporation former councillor G S Sreekumar has filed a plea in the High Court seeking either judicial or CBI probe over mayor’s letter. The plea mentioned the issue as a grave fault.

The plea states that over thousand illegal appointments were made in two years in Thiruvananthapuram Corporation. Mayor’s letter to the party district secretary, asking for the list of candidates for appointing in the health wing on contract basis, is purely nepotism, alleges the plea. The High Court will consider the plea tomorrow.
