Ahmedabad: Prior to the upcoming assembly election in Gujarat, one more Congress MLA, Bhavish Kathara, from Jolod constituency had resigned from the party.
Within three days, this is the third MLA resigning from the party. It is informed that Kathara will join the BJP party soon. He has submitted the resignation directly at the residence of Nimaben Acharya, the speaker of the assembly.
Last day, Mohansinh Rathva and Bhagwan Barad had resigned from the party following some issues within the party. The party leaders are worried that the resignation of the MLA’s prior to the elections might affect the results too.
Some of the leaders alleged that the ‘Bharat Jodo Yathra’ only received acceptance through the PR work. The Gujarat election will be held in two levels on 1st and 5th of December and the counting is on 8th.
