Ernakulam: High Court against competition of private buses in Kochi. The court said that some drivers think that the road is only theirs. Such people think that they can drive however they want. In this situation, the inspection of buses should be made stricter. The High Court also directed the City Police Commissioner to submit action reports at regular intervals
Apart from this, the court pointed out that the pedestrians in the city are suffering. The court said that the footpaths on the roads are not up to the mark. Pedestrians are forced to walk on the roads. The High Court also directed that action be taken against the vehicles parked on the footpath.
This is not the first time that the High Court has come up against the competition of private buses and violations of the law. Earlier, the court had given a directive to stop using horns in urban areas. The court also demanded that private buses should drive on the left side of the road.
