The gold biscuits were kept in a specially designed belt with many pockets. 53 kg of gold was recovered from the inspection of the four-member team. They had gold worth Rs 28.17 crore.

A gold belt was handed over to them by a Sudanese citizen from Doha airport. Then they got caught by the customs when they reached Mumbai on Qatar Airways from Doha. They had gold biscuits made in the UAE. After the arrest, they were produced in court. All four accused have been remanded in 14-day judicial custody.
