Palakkad: Palakkad town police took Popular Front Leader Yahya Thangal into custody in connection with the murder of RSS leader Sreenivasan. The investigation team got information about the connection of Yahya Thangal in the murder of Sreenivasan. He was taken into custody for further investigation regarding this.
Currently, Yahya Thangal, who was arrested in a sedition case, is in remand in Viyyur Jail. The investigation team reached here and took him into custody. He will be brought to Palakkad for further questioning and collection of evidence. Yahya Thangal is the 45th accused in Sreenivasan murder case.
Yahya Thangal is the leader of the group that conspired to kill Sreenivasan. Apart from Yahya, Rauf, who was the state secretary of the now banned Popular Front, is also an accused in the case. Rauf was taken to different parts of Palakkad last week and evidence was collected.
