Thiruvananthapuram: CPM district Secretary Anavoor Nagappan has accepted that the controversial letter was written by he himself. He told that he had sent a letter to the cooperative society. The new letter controversy surfaces at he same time when the letter sent by the mayor asking for preferred party candidates list for appointing in the health section on contract basis, is still a boiling issue.
Anavoor Nagappan’s version is that he has only nodded for the list of those who were qualified in the exam and this process is so common in the party. The person Babujan, mentioned in the letter, is neither the secretary nor the president, added Anavoor Nagappan. And when the reporters asked as why did he send such a letter for a person who is not in the designation of secretary or president, CPM district secretary kept mum.
The alleged letter was written by Anavoor Nagappan on 21 July 2021 to the Thiruvananthapuram Thycaud District Mercantile Cooperative Society, controlled by CPM. The letter demanded back door appointment to three main designations. The letter asked to appoint Manju V S as Junior Clerk and Shibin Raj as driver and also directed not to appoint anyone for the post of attender for the time being.
