Palakkad: The government has not yet paid the fee of the special prosecutor in the Attapadi Madhu murder case. Questioning of only two investigating officers remains now. Their hearing is on Monday. In the meantime, there is an allegation that the government is not allowing money for the fees to be paid.
The government sanctioned fee is Rs.240. Earlier, he had written to the government to pay the fee, but it is reported that no reply has been received to the letter. Earlier appointed prosecutors had failed in the case where many strange measures were taken. In this situation Adv. Rajesh M. Menon made a shift in the case.
The trial of the case is currently in its final stage. The case was going through many stages like examination of witnesses, influencing them, witnesses turning hostile, etc. It is also a great achievement that the prosecution was able to scientifically prove everything. Moreover, the person who threatened Madhu’s mother Malli had surrendered to the police the other day. Abbas, a native of Kumaramputhur, Palakkad, was presented before the Mannarkkad court and was remanded for 14 days.
