New Delhi: Indian women’s Table Tennis player Manika Batra, won bronze medal in Asaian Cup Table Tennis. She won the bronze by defeating the Japanese player Hina Hayata. Manika is the first Indian woman to win a medal in the Asian Cup.
Manika won the game by attaining scores 11-6, 6-11, 11-7, 12-10, 4-11, 11-2 . Manika defeated Hina Hayata, the three time Asian Championship winner and the world’s No: 6 player.
Manika defeated world’s number 7 player Chen Xingtong of China in the quarter finals. With this, the 27 year old Manika, the native of Delhi, has entered the list of legends in the history of Indian women’s table tennis.
