New Delhi: The Ministry of Finance informed that they are about to begin the pre – budget meeting today. The Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman will meet dignitaries from different fields virtually.
As announced through Twitter, on the first day, the finance ministry will hold discussions with industry leaders and experts in the field of climate change and infrastructure development. The Minister will meet representatives of agriculture, agro-processing industry, financial sector and capital market, tomorrow.
On 24th, there will be a meeting with the experts in the social sector including health, education, water and sanitation and as well as with the representatives of business institutions. On 28th November, the Union Finance Minister will attend an online meeting with the trade union representatives.
The meeting will discuss the expenditure of various ministries and departments and the necessity of the funds. It is also instructed to submit the report within 10 th January 2023. This is the fifth budget of the second Modi Government. This is also the complete budget before the upcoming general elections.
