Thiruvananthapuram: The enquiry over the latter controversy of mayor Arya Rajendran has not yet reached a conclusion. Though the Crime Branch has handed over its report, the issue whether the letter is fake or original is still in the dark. However, the Crime Branch has put forward the suggestion to file a case and conduct probe.
As per the version of Crime Branch, to confirm the fraudulence of the letter, the original letter should be retrieved. The report has also mentioned the recorded statement of Mayor Arya Rajendran, alleging the letter is forged. The Crime Branch handed over the report to the DGP and he will decide the further steps to be taken in the issue.
Meanwhile, protests are still continuing over the letter written in the name of Mayor Arya Rajendran, seeking the list of party candidates for appointment in the health wing on contract basis. BJP has decided to go on with their protest until the resignation of the Mayor. The High Court will consider the plea regarding the letter issue later this week. It is hinted that a case will be registered and enquiry will be started soon.
