Doha: Cristiano Ronaldo becomes the first man to score in five world cups as his penalty helped Portugal secure a 3-2 win over Ghana in a thrilling Group H encounter. All the goals were in the second half.
The first goal of Portugal was from a penalty in the 61st minute. Though there were lengthy defence from Ghana players, Ronaldo won the penalty and made the kick into a goal. With this Cristiano Ronaldo became the first male player to score in five World Cups.
Ghana’s Andre Ayew then scored an equaliser, after which Portugal got two goals in quick succession to make the score 3-1. But Portugal immediately responded with goals from Joao Felix and substitute Rafael Leao. Ghana’s Bukari secured a second goal in the 89th minute.
