Thrissur: Court issued 12 year imprisonment and rupees 20,000 fine for a young man named Perumbilav Mulluvalappil Vinod who sexually assaulted a minor girl who was standing in a queue at the Annadana Mandapam, a place where food has been served in the temple, of the Guruvayoor temple.
The incident took place in June 2019 and a complaint was filed by the girl’s mother. The Guruvayoor temple police had filed a case over the incident and started investigation. The punishment has been pronounced by the Kunnamkulam fast-track POCSO special court after Vinod was found guilty.
