Bengaluru: In the wake of Mangaluru blast, Karnataka police have strengthened the security for the temples in Karnataka. The security has been beefed up in the temples situated at the coastal areas as police assess the possible terror attack on the temples again.
Shariq, the key accused of the Mangaluru blast case, reached to conduct blast in the Kadri Sri Manjunatha Swami temple. Based on this incident, request had been filed to the police to strengthen the security at Manjunatha Swami temple and also, to another temple. The decision to strengthen security was taken after considering the request.
Police has increased security in the Manjunatha shrine and the team headed by the officers evaluate the situation every day.
Meanwhile, NIA will soon declare the decision to take up the Mangaluru blast case. The Union Home Ministry had directed NIA to take up the case as per the request given by the State Government.
