Bengaluru: The investigation team has revealed that Shariq, the key accused in the Mangaluru explosion case, had plot to conduct blasts in many other states too. Police found that the accused had stayed in Madhura, Tamil Nadu while conspiring blasts. The investigation team reached Madhura for further probe in this regard.
Shariq reached Tamil Nadu during the first week of this month and stayed around two weeks at a hotel in Netaji Road in Madhura. Police has recovered phone details of Shariq’s stay using fake identity cards. The ten- member investigation team held inspection around 50 lodges and hotels and also collected details from the autorickshaw drivers in the locality.
Madhura, being the temple city, has several famous shrines and Shariq panned to operate terror attacks here. Police is trying to confirm this with the evidence they have collected.
